Description

Georg III. 1760-1820. Silbermedaille 1765. 39.17 g. Prämie der Landwirtschaftlichen Gesellschaft in Celle. Stempel von J. F. K. Claus. Belorbeerter Kopf nach rechts. Rv. Landschaft, darin ein Füllhorn, aus dem landwirtschaftliche Erzeugnisse quellen. 43 mm. Brockmann 999. Vorzüglich. Feine Patina.
Die Landwirtschaftliche Gesellschaft in Celle wurde 1764 gegründet, um die Landwirtschaft zu unterstützen und zu verbessern. Rechtsnachfolger war bis 1878 die "Königliche Landwirtschafts-Gesellschaft" in Celle. Sie wurde dann nach Hannover umgesiedelt, 1894 in "Landwirtschaftskammer für die Provinz Hannover" umbenannt und existiert noch heute als "Landwirtschaftskammer Hannover".
